Happy Pride Month

This is just a quick note to say that...

Whether you experience pride in your sexuality, or whether sexuality feels murky and confusing...

Whether you're coming out for the first time, or you keep coming out in new and deepening ways...

Whether Pride month feels joyful and loving, or frustrating and overrun with capitalism...

Whether body love and sexuality feel like they support each other, or add layered complexity to an already hard thing...

I see you. I'm proud to be connected to you. You've come a long way.

A participant in I Have a Body! recently commented that talking about her body journey with family feels a little like coming out all over again. It reminded me how incredibly brave this work is.

To all of you who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, queer, asexual, demisexual and questioning.... to you who are trangender, agender, nonbinary, intersex, two-spirit... to you who are fluid, to you who aren't feeling the labels, to you who are just you, to you who work on allyship... I'm wishing you a happy pride month. Thank you for leading the way.

Here's to a world in which being connected with our bodies and our hearts is the norm.

P.S. In case you're interested, here's an article on some of the radical history of Pride!
