Life could be better....

Life could be better, right?

You could be more efficient with your time. Your house could be more organized, more beautiful! Your clothes could….definitely be cuter. Those jeans are out of style. Let’s not even talk about your shoes. You could be a better parent, a better friend, a better lover, a better communicator. You could do more therapy. Or less? You could sleep more, way way way more. Or more efficiently. You could eat right. Or stop eating wrong.  Or stop eating at all. No wait, not that. You could be skinnier! We mean healthier. We meant to say healthier. But also, you could be skinnier. You could love your body more. You could make more money. You could work less. Or more? You’re doing your makeup all wrong. You’re doing your hair all wrong. You could be stronger. Your skin could be better. You could drink more water. You could have a better immune system. You could probably cheat death, but only if you really really really follow these steps. Did you follow the steps? If you didn't follow the steps then you will die. People could like you more. You could like you more. You could give less fucks. You could care more. Or less? You could do more. Or less? You could do better. You could do better. Lean in. Lean out. Buy more. Buy less. Buy nothing. Be here. And also there. And definitely, definitely be better.

A venn diagram: one circle says "I am completely whole just as I am." The other circle says "There is so much I can learn."

The constant messaging gets to me too. I’m aware that I’m also a coach, also selling a promise of better things.

So here’s what I want to say.

I think you’re already beautifully, and inherently whole. Just as you are right now. Even if we never work together. Even if you struggle with food and body stuff for a long time. Nothing about you needs to change.

Working with me is an offering, not a requirement. Doing any work on yourself can be an invitation. I hope this work can come from the joy of growth, rather than the self-punishment of striving.

If you dig my vibe, check out my free workshop next month. The Double Whammy of Body Positivity: feeling bad for feeling bad about your body.
