Even as a body liberation coach I have challenging body image days. Here are some of the key things I do to improve my body image.

Lean into the good moments. If I can obsess over the things I don’t like about my body, I can obsess over those moments when I think I’m kinda cute too
Go for a microwalk. I make liberal use of the microwalk-- literally 2-5 minutes. I don’t need to go for a long hike to get the benefits of being outside or moving my body.
Put on bigger earrings. Bigger earrings and bigger hair= happier Talia.
Give myself permission to not like my body. I don’t pressure myself to love or even like my body all the time. Some days I need permission to not. I don’t make this a problem to fix, I just let myself be in the ebb and flow.
Do the “Care thing” anyway. On harder body image days I care for myself anyways. I eat regularly, brush my teeth, wear comfy clothes, drink tea etc...
Look at images of plus size models. I remind myself how gorgeous bodies of all sizes are. Contact me and I’ll send you my fave who to follow list
Have a gratitude text buddy. I have a friend who I text nightly gratitudes to. I share things I’m grateful for related to my body but also about my whole life. I witness her gratitudes too.
Play the “act as if game”
2 ways to play. I close my eyes and say:
“What if I loved my body? How would I act?” OR
“What if I lived in a world that loved all bodies? What would I do?”
How about you? What helps your body image?
